Fortinet EOSL Support India
Hardware Coverage After FortiCare Hardware Bundle Ends.

Fortinet retires hardware support for older FortiGate platforms through its product lifecycle policy. Ogma provides continued hardware break-fix coverage for EOSL FortiGate appliances — with NSE-certified engineers and an in-stock Fortinet spare parts inventory across India.

Security Advisory: EOSL FortiGate hardware coverage does not include FortiGuard threat intelligence updates or firmware patches. Running unpatched firewalls carries significant security risk. We strongly recommend planning migration to current-generation FortiGate hardware. Ogma can assist with both interim support and migration planning.

Fortinet EOSL Hardware We Cover

Older FortiGate appliances and Fortinet hardware where FortiCare hardware support has ended.

FortiGate Legacy SMB

Older FortiGate 60C/80C/100D/200D and similar legacy D-series desktop appliances — widely deployed as branch and SME firewalls. Chassis, PSU, and port hardware maintained.

FortiGate Legacy Mid-Range

Older FortiGate 300D/500D/600D/1000D and similar D/E series mid-range appliances — hardware break-fix for chassis, power supplies, NIC interfaces, and fan assemblies.

FortiGate Legacy Enterprise

Older FortiGate 3000D/3700D/5000 series chassis-based firewalls — chassis components, line cards, control plane modules, and high-availability hardware maintained.

FortiSwitch Legacy

Older FortiSwitch models approaching or at end of hardware support — PSU replacements, fan modules, and SFP transceiver replacements for PoE and standard switching.

FortiAnalyzer / FortiManager Legacy

Older FortiAnalyzer and FortiManager appliances — HDD arrays (log storage), PSUs, NIC cards, and chassis hardware for management and logging appliances past their support date.

Migration to Current FortiGate

Ogma recommends and can execute migration from legacy FortiGate to current-gen F/G-series. Includes FortiGuard subscription renewal, config migration, and hardware deployment — as a concurrent workstream with EOSL support.

Frequently Asked Questions

Running an EOSL firewall without active FortiGuard subscriptions and firmware patches is a significant security risk — Fortinet regularly publishes CVEs affecting FortiOS, and without patches, these vulnerabilities remain open. For internet-facing firewalls, Ogma strongly recommends hardware replacement. EOSL support is most appropriate as a temporary bridge (6–18 months) while a budget cycle completes, or for internal-segment firewalls with limited exposure. Ogma provides EOSL coverage alongside active migration planning.

Ogma's EOSL coverage includes physical hardware break-fix — chassis swaps, PSU replacements, fan failures, NIC port damage — with on-site SLAs. It does NOT include FortiOS software updates, FortiGuard signature updates, or Fortinet TAC access. These are Fortinet software services and are not available for EOSL hardware.

Yes — as a Fortinet partner, Ogma can procure current-gen FortiGate hardware and FortiGuard subscriptions, migrate your existing firewall policy, and execute the cutover. We typically run EOSL hardware support as a bridge while the migration project runs in parallel, ensuring you are never without coverage.

FortiGate spare parts availability depends on the model — desktop models (60C/80C) have a more constrained parts market than larger rack-mount appliances. Ogma gives you a realistic support horizon estimate at enquiry, based on current market availability for your specific model. We generally expect 2–3 years beyond Fortinet's EOSL date for most supported platforms.

Ogma handles HA failover scenarios with priority response. For Gold SLA customers, we maintain advance replacement units where possible so that an HA active-passive pair can be restored rapidly. We coordinate the replacement to avoid any downtime on the active unit while the failed passive is repaired or replaced.
